Too costly; theatre gives no thought to the environmenral impact they're having in that I've made the suggestion *many* times: provide, for an initial small extra amount, reusable containers for popcorn and pop. The kind of popcorn buckets the Cedar Rapids, IA, theatres provide. Their patrons can wash and bring back the plastic bucket for reuse the next time they go to see a movie, and they get a discount on their concessions when they do. The Marcus Theatres here in Waterloo have no interest in providing this option to their patrons. In fact, soon after I started requesting they make the change the theatres decided to provide paper/wax buckets that are smaller, and more costly!
Prices went up for before 11am. There was no mention of it when I was online at their website. When I went in and complained. The manager did nothing to rectify the situation. Thus is poor Customer Service, DO NOT GO THERE THEY WILL SCREW YOU ON PRICES. WHEN YOU DON'T HAVE ENOUGH MONEY FOR 3 TICKETS BEFORE 11 BECAUSE YOU ARE A SINGLE PARENT. TAKE THE GAS MONEY AND GO TO GRUNDY CENTER, VINTON, SUMNER, TRAER, or CHARLES CITY.
All those cities have Theaters that are $4 admission or less. GO THERE INSTEAD OF HERE.
They finally upgraded the seats in this place to something you would get in a larger city. AWESOME.
