Today I went downstairs to check on my furnace filter and I see a Bergen plumbing heating and cooling sticker on my ductwork. I was very upset about this because it is unprofessional. I have never had any other service person deface my property before. So I tried to peel the sticker off and it separated because they use cheap stickers so I called their off to tell them that I'm not going to spend a half an hour cleaning off the sticky residue of the sticker that they placed on my ductwork. The office person said, "he probably did it so it would be easier for me to remember who to call.
you should teach your employees customer service, i love being told by a plumber how to treat my family members, real professional.
Yeah like I dictate when crime happens throughout the city and write the officer's schedule! These people are very unprofessional unless you want your property to be all trashed with stickers and to be mistreated stay far far away!
Emergency pluming needed on a Saturday, Bergen was the only local pluming that answered in such a friendly way. The gentlemen that came to our home did an amazing job! I wish Water Works staff were this nice and prepared in an emergency.
I highly recommend this company!
I had a service call 3-4 weeks ago. The service man came and was very very slow. After he was done and my central air was working he did god only knows in my back yard for 10-15 minutes so I checked on him and told him I didn't need anything else. Then it took him over 10 minutes to pack up a few tools and about 10-15 minutes to write up the ticket. He comes in and charges me for 1 1/2 hrs for about 30-40 minutes of actual working. He states they charge travel time and says someone has to pay for the travel time.
This was way of drumming up repeat customers. I was a repeat customer but not anymore. I told the office lady that if he asked me I probably wouldn't have cared. I said I didn't appreciate my property being defaced (really it's probably vandalism) and I wanted it off today so it doesn't have to go any further. She stated she would make up a ticket and gave all sorts of reasons why they were busy and treated me like I wasn't a priority. I understand I was a priority when they were taking my money though. Perhaps they should invest in refrigerator magnets like everyone else.
Bergen's installers were extremely polite, professional, clean and did an excellent job. They wore shoe covers, they put cardboard and plastic on all floors, they even used white electrical tape on the white protective tubing going to the A/C unit (a small but really nice detail!). The system has performed flawlessly. I will use them for any other work I have.
will file a police report if every trace of the "sticker" they placed on my duct work isn't removed today. They are very unprofessional.
We have switched all of our heating, cooling and plumbing work to Bergen. They are consistently on time, pleasant to work with and do the work at a fair price. We like the fact that we are not taken advantage of when we need work done on short notice.
Excellent work, excellent company. I had two other companies, besides Bergen, estimate my heating and cooling replacement project. Bergen sent the most qualified person and didn't try to upsell me to a unit I didn't need, whereas the other companies were happy to sell me as much as they could. The pricing was very fair.
Update: I called back and talk to the owner. He told me that because I left them in my house to do work and because I paid my bill that it's not vandalism and he refused to remove their sticker unless I had police present.
Also in reference to a previous review they have the 2.95 typed onto their bill as a parts charge. They probably figured because it isn't much money people won't complain. It's not much for one person but over the course of the year it has to add up to thousands in their pocket. Because it's pre-typed on the ticket everyone pays it. Yes, this is ethics at it's finest.
I called up Bergen's office and they say minimum service time is 1 hr and charged me for an hr time. I get that if they don't charge some sort of minimum they're not going to be able to stay in business when you include their travel time. So I was satisfied with that I paid my bill and the service man went on his way.
The only constructive item is that I've had to stay engaged to keep the rebate paperwork moving, but they are always happy to help when i call.
