Fresh food, polite staff, custom soda choices...a good place to eat
Ordered the Gyro, listened to staff about what cheese to use etc. premium pricing for something that was just average. Especially with no sides. Ate in. It was clean besides the inside of the windows. Staff Seemed to be frustrated I ate in since they just got done cleaning tables. Overall I'll eat there once in a blue moon unless this place becomes premo pita!!

My parents have had several negative experiences in the Waterloo, IA Pita Pit. This particular one happened recently. My mother ordered as usual and noticed that the lettuce was old. She asked the manager if he could swap it for some fresh lettuce and he refused, saying that the lettuce was put out the day before. When the actual manager refuses to provide customers with fresh ingredients...that's a problem.
