I came in looking for a new bed frame for our spare room and was greated by Ashley who was very friendly and helpful. I not only for a beautiful 4 post bed frame and nightstand to match and the most amazing mattress and box spring for our bed! My elderly Mom bought an electrically controlled recliner to help with comfort during what is most likely her last few months (terminal cancer). After I found out that the order wasn’t to be delivered for 8-10 weeks (she might not be here then), I called and explained the situation and asked to have the order cancelled. The manager refused to waive the 30% restocking fee. So the corporate headquarters was contacted, and they said that the order hadn’t even been placed yet (and cancelled the order without a problem) The people working at this store don’t have a soul. Buyer beware.
Still waiting on furniture we ordered 5 months ago. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Still ridiculous to have to wait this long.
They have lost me as a customer after today. 5 years ago I bought over 5k worth of furniture. Back then, they had a friends of the family rewards program and my wife and I were informed this credit would never expire. We went back to look at a couch a few months back, and were told the same thing. The credits were still valid. Now they are telling my wife and I that the credits are no longer accepted, and that the friends of the family rewards program ended years ago. I get internal rewards programs can be canceled and taken away at any time, but there was no notification from them. The lady on the phone told me this morning that they had several thousand people with credits in the program. Why would they not have their sales people call these people then. Seems like an easy to get a lead on a possible sale. Very disappointing that McGregor's does not care about customer retention, nor do they care about doing what is right. This will be the last time I do business with them. I feel bad for the people working there. The sales staff is excellent. Very enjoyable to work with. Unfortunate management isn't the same.
I called this morning (day after Christmas) and they had it fixed same afternoon. Very impressed. Excellent service.
