it explains treatment I got from pro desk. one good review and you don't need to treat customers decent anymore. I asked them if they can hold clearance item after I paid for them. they check with pro manager and then told me NO, they can't do anything for me. without even asking what item, how long etc. So if you are not one of their contractor buddies or friend or someone looks like them; stay away from pro desk. I understand the policy of not holding clearance items but the treatment I got was really pro.

I have had an absolutely HORRIFIC experience in my purchase of appliances from Home Depot. I ordered a refrigerator, a stove, and a washer and dryer from Home Depot one month before closing on a brand new home. I received notice 36 hours in advance that none of my appliances would be delivered as ONE was on backorder. I frantically called the company back and requested the rest of my appliances be delivered as scheduled. It took a very long time for me to reach a representative- in fact, I had to hang up and feign intention to buy a new appliance before I was directed to a human being. They refused my request to deliver the remaining appliances (it was the washer that was back ordered) and offered me a date TWO WEEKS later. I do not understand how I am expected to live in my new home with out the ability to cook or refrigerate food! I went immediately to Home Depot and had to beg for a loaner refrigerator which they finally agreed to lend and deliver a day late and it was barely larger than a dorm fridge. I couldn't even keep a gallon of milk inside. After much argument, I cancelled and reordered the same appliances in two separate orders so that my refrigerator and stove could be delivered only one week after the agreed upon date of delivery. when they arrived, the stove DID NOT WORK. Furthermore, the delivery men damaged the door and now a new refrigerator has to be ordered. To make matters even more miserable, the washer and dryer are now scheduled to be delivered A MONTH AND A HALF past the original delivery date. Home Depot has done very little to rectify this situation. I have been promised some sort of compensation but Home Depot refuses to specify on what this means until all appliances are delivered. Meanwhile, I paid a LOT of money for appliances that were not delivered on time, not functioning, and spent countless hours on the phone, in the store, and with delivery men explaining the problems and scheduling and rescheduling my entire morning for more deliveries. I could not be more displeased with the products or the service I have received. PLEASE THINK TWICE BEFORE ORDERING FROM HOME DEPOT. Especially if you need the appliances at a particular time, as we did.

Very helpful staff. Ordered flooring online arrived with in a week.

Working here will undoubtedly be the worst job I have ever held, and that's a statement considering the time spent working with critically-ill patients as an ER tech for 3 years. Considering the vast amount of turnover and the dismal number of employees expected to cover a retail store of that size, I can only assume other former employees reached a similar conclusion. Training for your position is sporadic and lacking in technical detail, so I was more comfortable with a customer telling me what I needed to know than any guidance managers would rarely offer. You're also expected to complete training while on the sales floor, so anytime a customer approaches you, you're expected to drop what you're doing and walk them to whatever specific items they're looking for. You're also expected to perfectly manage product inventory and appearance of items on the shelves while being frequently interrupted in the same manner. You're held to these impossible expectations by an army of obese department managers who throw their employees under the bus anytime they've neglected their own responsibilities. Those same department managers are frequently abusive, and management above them happily looks the other way. If you're wanting a promotion above entry-level, you better hope you're literally in bed with someone in management as that's the only consistent trait I've found in people who "earn" promotions. You are expected to be available for any shift every week you work, so you never have the same schedule for reasons I don't believe actually exist or support the well-being of an employee you want to retain. This store's ability to work the elderly and people with disabilities into their graves is frankly impressive. I used to watch a gentleman with autism perform more work in every single shift he showed up for than the collective sum of the able-bodied employees working the same shift. The saddest part of his fruitless endeavors occurred when he would frequently tell his co-workers how the store had "gone to hell" in his 19+ years of employment. I don't understand how the college-educated managers lacked the realistic vision of an employee with a significant disability, so it's easier to just point out they blatantly exploited him while under-performing in their own positions. At the time of my employment, the parking lot looked like it had been imported from Syria before the Syrian War was even a thing. Employees had no recourse or protection from hostile customers, which only works to your advantage if you have a genuine interest in the "receiving-end" roles of the BDSM fetishes. This store may as well manufacture iPhones as thinking about my own experiences here makes me want to jump off a roof. Even after reading this review for a second time, I feel I've grossly understated the actual amount of labor it would take to successfully manage this cargo ship of a retail warehouse and the handful of staff that will never, ever come close to the expectations of most managers that couldn't move 2 bags of Quikrete without a significant cardiac event. Ivan Denisovich was more likely to receive a pat on the back from Stalin himself after a day's labor in a gulag than an employee would be recognized by the Santas-in-training department managers handing out those insulting little "Homer" badges for simply witnessing you assisting a customer. Also, you can expect a .25¢ raise after your first year of employment, which I'm guessing both Stalin and Mr. Denisovich would collectively frown upon. In sum, I could advise you to check out Menards or Lowes if you have an interest in supporting the notion of common human decency, but this dead-weight feeling I currently have in the pit of my stomach while writing this would better advise you to join the rest of the nation in imbibing opioids to embrace that sweet, sweet release from the misery that is the Waterloo Home Depot.

People there genuinely want to help you find an item and like doing it.
