Par for Holiday inn....nice staff and nice rooms. Looked like they were finishing up Construction to update the hotel. Most of the rooms were updated but they were still updating the downstairs (Nov 2017)
I stayed here during the week for 3 weeks while traveling for work. They were in the middle of renovating the lobby/breakfast area while I was there. The work ended at a reasonable time so as not to disturb their guests. There must be no soundproofing between rooms though because I could always hear either the person above me or next to me every night. There were no microwaves in the room and breakfast did not start until 6:30am. I had to leave by that time each morning, but there was at least a microwave on the main floor to make my own food. The power went out for about 24 hours during my stay as well. They handled it okay and gave out extra blankets and flashlights (if you asked for them). They did comp that night without having to ask. Overall, the hotel was clean and most of the staff were friendly, but I would probably pick somewhere else the next time I'm in Waterloo.
It was clean and had comfortable beds. The TV had plenty of channels and free wi-fi. The pool was kind of small, but it's not like people generally use hotel pools for doing laps. Can't complain.
5 star service great location reasonable prices and an amazing breakfast!
I like it, it is located on a road where you can access the highway really quick but also not to far from dinner places. It is well maintained and usually there are some free snacks on the afternoon so overall good place to stay for business travel
